Two Ruth’s Chris Steak House Locations Earn Certified Green Restaurant® Status
Charlotte and Indiana locations propel the franchise towards a more sustainable future.
INDIANAPOLIS, I.N. (January 25, 2024) –– Ruth’s Chris Steak House’s South Bend and SouthPark locations has been awarded a Level 1 Certified Green Restaurant® status. The title, given by the Green Restaurant Association, signals the restaurant’s commitment to sustainability and environmentally friendly practices.
“This is a significant achievement for our family owned franchise. Our South Bend and SouthPark locations have become the first-ever Certified Green Restaurants of Prime Hospitality Group,” said PHG President Kristy Rans. “This accomplishment enhances our guests’ dining experience and highlights our dedication to sustainable practices.”
Certified Green Restaurant® is a program developed by the Green Restaurant Association (GRA), an international nonprofit which encourages restaurants to adopt environmentally friendly operations through science-based certification standards. To attain Certified Green Restaurant® status, restaurants must earn GreenPoints™ from the GRA. GreenPoints™ are earned through efforts such as water efficiency, waste reduction, recycling, sustainability of manufactured products and energy conservation.
The SouthPark Charlotte location has 99 points, focusing efforts on energy and water conservation. Meanwhile, the South Bend location is working toward energy and waste management, receiving a score of 76.
