The Prime Hospitality Story

Prime Hospitality Group was founded by husband-and-wife team Kristy and Ryan Rans. Under the leadership of Kristy, an attorney, and Ryan, an expert in real estate development and restaurant concepts, PHG has become the largest Ruth’s Chris Steak House franchise group. Ryan and Kristy are also one of the first non-legacy Ruth’s Chris Steak House franchise owners, with a passion to build a new generation of trust and quality in the Ruth’s Chris family.

The Rans immediately dove into a 13 week training program with Ruth’s Chris. During this time, they worked every position from front of house to back, traveled regionally to enhance their multi-unit management experience, and participated in the opening of a new Ruth’s Chris location. This firsthand experience served as the foundation on which they have built their teams; with a focus on delivering the fine dining experience one expects from Ruth’s Chris. To date, Prime Hospitality Group’s Ruth’s Chris locations have earned some of the highest honors within the Ruth’s Chris Steak House family.

With the design of each PHG location, the Rans are committed to surprising and delighting each guest with an ambiance that incorporates new and innovative design elements. A visit to a PHG location provides an assortment of experiences a guest may choose from, including: elevated dining room spaces; distinctive outdoor patios; welcoming bars; and sought after private dining room spaces. Each area of a PHG location is meant to provide its own unique experience.

In 2018, the PHG family of brands grew with the addition of Bin 23 Bistro, a traditional European Bistro serving French-influenced favorites along with curated wines and craft cocktails. In 2020, The Exchange, a craft cocktail and whiskey bar stocked with the best whiskies in the world, also joined the PHG family of brands.

As we grow and expand our family, our Core Values and drive remain the same: to keep our promises when it comes to quality, stay fresh in our approach, and find and develop the absolute best Team Members. Each meal and drink should always be amazing, but it’s the experience and hospitality our loyal guests come back for.
